Parents ICT workshop continues...

ICT workshop for parents will end on 18th of this month. Total of 20 parents participated in the workshop. Contents covered in the workshop are Ms. Paint, Ms. Word, Ms. excel, Ms. PowerPoint, Corel draw, and internet. All the sessions are taken by the Teacher educator, Mohamed Arif and Supervisor, Ibrahim Shaheedh of BAEC.

Main purpose of the workshop is to make parents aware about using ICT. They are also studying how to download and use relevant materials for their children.

This workshop is divided into two parts. First 15 hours of the workshop were held from 2nd September to 20th September 2012. Second part was started on 14th October 2012.

NEW CURRICULUM WORKSHOP ENDED

A workshop aimed to orient the new curriculum for the teachers of Baa Atoll schools was ended this Thursday. Total of 32 participants were participated in this workshop including Principals, PD coordinators and pre- school teachers.

The workshop was commenced at Baa Atoll Education Centre from 30^th September to 4^th October 2012 and this workshop is entitled about curriculum orientation. Two teacher educators from CCE and PD coordinator of BAEC provide information at the work shop on the newly introduced curriculum in the Maldives.

This workshop was funded by Ministry of Education and held with the great help of Centre for continuing education, Education Development Centre and Baa TRC and Eydhafushi TRC.

Attachment programme in Kendhoo

This year's attachment programme has completed in Baa Atoll. Total of 32 teachers participated in this programme from Kendhoo School and Pre-School. Some sessions were conducted for the students and parents also.

The attachment programme was held at Baa Kendhoo School from 1^st July 2012 to 5^th July 2012.  The attachment programme covered 5 days of Professional Development sessions for the teachers. This programme was conducted by the Center for Continuing Education coordinated by Teacher Educator Mohamed Arif. Total of 32 teachers and 50 parents were participated in the programme including pre-school teachers. With the great help of B. Kendhoo School, B. Atoll Education Centre and Centre for Continuing Education this programme was able to start on 1^st July 2012.

3rd PD day in Baa Atoll

Professional Development activities were conductes during the past 2 weeks of the second term. Almost all the schools have finished their third PD day. Teachers of Baa Atoll are very coorperative in conducting PD programmes in their schools. They all have to complete 15 hours of PD in each year. Thanks to all the PD coordinators who were very busy and commited in conducting this programme.
